The lower right portion is Sandpoint City Beach. The bridge in the foreground is the Burlington Northern train bridge. The bridge in the background is U.S. Hwy 95 which traverses Idaho from Canada to Nevada. The old Hwy 95 bridge is now used as a bicycle
/pedestrian bridge allowing easy and safe navigation from Sandpoint to areas south. The U.S. 95 bridge is usually thought of as the dividing line between Lake Pend Oreille and the Pend Oreille River.
